Stay tuned for more incentives throughout the week!

Peak hour Incentive Requirements:

  • Maintain 1.20 TPH to qualify for the hourly incentives
  • Accept at least 80% of total trip requests within the week
  • Complete at least 60% of total trip requests within the week

Off-Peak hour Incentive Requirements:

  • Maintain 1 TPH to qualify for the hourly incentives
  • Accept at least 80% of total trip requests within the week
  • Complete at least 60% of total trip requests within the week

Let’s take a sample case:

Assume a delivery partner is working for two hours from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM during lunch peak on Sunday - which will entitle the courier to get $16/ hour and $2 per completed trip.

In the diagram below: you’ll see four blocks,

NewIncentiveDiagram21.2.PNG

1. Guaranteed Earnings

  • Hourly rate guarantee of $16/hour and $2/trip from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sundays

2. All incentive block conditions met: Assume

  • Courier completes two trips in one hour, TPH = 2 trip/ 1 hour = 2
  • Accepts and completes all trips (acceptance and completion rate = 100%)
  • Does two trips with an In-App fare totaled at $15 (After Uberfee deduction)
  • RESULT: Courier is eligible to receive the $1 top up to make his hourly payment $16. Also, the courier will receive $4 in trip incentive. The total amount the courier will earn is $20

3. Incentive block conditions not met: Assume

  • Courier completes two trips in two hours, TPH = 2 trip/2 hour = 1
  • Rejects and completes all trips (acceptance or completion rate < 60%)
  • Does two trips with an In-App fare totaled at $15 (After Uberfee deduction)
  • RESULT: Courier is not eligible to receive the top up of $1 or the trip incentive. Courier will only make $15. The courier is not eligible to receive the per trip incentive too - as the acceptance and/or completion rate (or TPH) conditions were not met

4. Top delivery-partners:

  • Courier completes three trips an hour, TPH = 3 trips/1 hour = 3
  • Accepts and completes all trips (acceptance and completion rate = 100%)

Do I need to be online for specific hours?

No, you still have all the flexibility to work when you want.

Frequently Asked Questions :

1. What is an "Incentive"?
Incentives are payments offered to Uber partners to encourage them to drive on the Uber app when i) eaters need them most and ii) when they can make the most money.

2. What is "TPH"?
"TPH" stands for "trips per hour."  TPH refers to how many trips a delivery partner completes in 1 hour.

3. What is “Acceptance Rate”?
Acceptance Rate is the number of delivery trips you accept. If you accept 8 out of 10 (or 4 out of 5) trip requests then your acceptance Rate is 80%.

4. What is “Completion Rate”?
Completion Rate is the number of delivery trips you complete out of the number of delivery trips you accept.

For example:

  • You receive 10 trip requests and, of which you accept 9;
  • You cancel 1 and eaters cancel 2 orders too;
  • Since you accepted 9 and completed 6 then your completion rate is 60%.

5. I had a per trip/ power rider incentive, how does the new incentive scheme impact me?
The current incentive plan is applicable to all riders in common - and we have made sure top delivery-partners get a chance to earn the same, if not more.

6. If I start a trip during the peak hour and complete it after the peak hours have ended, does the trip still count towards my TPH?
Yes. For the purposes of calculating the new incentive, trips are counted based on the request time (i.e when you accept the request).

7. Why is there a hourly top up?
UberEATS calculates trip earnings as base fare per trip plus earnings per km. The hourly top up is added to this amount to ensure that your hourly earning rate is met. Earn well above and beyond your hourly rate by accepting all trips that head your way and being in the demand hotspots!

8. How can I use the different platforms to check my pay each week?
Weekly earnings are communicated to UberEATS riders via three different platforms.

  • Email
  • Sms
  • In-app

Your earnings in delivery fees will be reflected differently based on the platform that you use. You can refer to the table below to have an idea of what is being reflected in each platform.
